Who is the Chamber of Commerce?
Your Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization with a volunteer board of directors comprised of businesses, professionals and residents.
The objective of the Houston & District Chamber of Commerce is to promote and improve trade and commerce, as well as the economic, civic, and social welfare of Houston and the surrounding area.

Although many people join because of our member benefits, one of the most important reasons for joining the Houston & District Chamber of Commerce is our network. We provide the environment for business to be done at our various events. At the same time many members belong to the Chamber even though they know they will be unable to take an active part in the organization. They understand that, even without active participation, their support contributes to vital initiatives that benefit both their personal and professional interests. You don’t buy a membership to the Chamber of Commerce… you invest in the cooperation and collaboration of the membership to accomplish goals that you cannot reach on your own.
